Through the last 10+ years this note has never  crossed the auction block. Fresh--- How many for sale currently--anywhere this condition or better=NONE.
Just repriced Lower to fit with the mood of the times.
And it is  just tucked into a brand new PCGS VF 25 holder an incredible rarity for 1907 High Denom

This is a very scarce-crispy-original Large Size Gold Certificate- high denomination note----a rarity of lofty caliber---PMG has only graded 17 notes to date. & Most important --VF and no Net grade---An original note with a very & minor professional note of restoration--not uncommon to most large sized notes..
The Census shows approximately 45 known to exist via the census net of being in Museums and the Federal Reserve. This note is Fresh to census and brand new to the market and never has been through any auction process that we could find.  You rarely see these 1219e 's  for sale and after seeing the Note and the description--its not surprising there are no others for sale on Ebay or rarely seen on the Bourse floor of Currency shows throughout the country.
113 years old----Paper Money from 1907.
This Series 1907 issue was printed thru a five year span. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing printed a total of 116,000 notes for use mostly in bank to bank transactions. Obviously these were not notes used in day to day business by the general public and this series faced heavy redemption from the Fed. Today, survivors are reported to be around 45 and of that number, nearly a third are permanently impounded in Federal Reserve and a variety of museums -- the Smithsonian, being one.
The seal, serial numbers, color scheme and the artfully engraved 00 on the face are all bright for the grade, and while slightly faded from time--still  reasonably bold, orange-yellow tangerine back design enhances to the overall eye appeal of the Note. It looks like an original Note. Crinkly--original waves--Reverse semi electric Gold--  This attractive essentially problem free note has not been on the market and it remains one of the nicest specimens of this very popular type.
Large Size Gold Certificate 00 1907 are a terrific find  for any high denom aficionado. Under close examination --This note is original & not graded 'Net' yet there is a slight comment of  of a minor & professional restoration and for the life of us--
we
cannot see it.  There are the typical subtle folds and a subtle corner tip fold--but it's a high end VF with great color.

When PCGS says minor--its pretty hard for the eye to see unless you are a trained top flight currency grader. And for that matter--this 1907 00 Gold Certificate to have survived this time is pretty remote of a possibility.
Our 1907 Thousand Dollar Gold has all its semi-full color on both sides--this is after over 113 years!! The back--reverse, which has a tendency to fade on this type, is the still semi-bright, full orange/tangerine color and one can imagine the blast of color of a Choice or Gem 1219 series note. Those AU 55-Unc notes will be priced at low six figures--have sold choice gems at over 0,000.
This PCGS note has a slightly better reverse in orange blast of
originality and faces up nicely with solid borders on the obverse.
