Description

This is the Heat Engine for the Giraffe and Panda Warmers made by GE Healthcare from 2007-present. This one is used for countries with 220-240V power. It has been tested to ensure 31mW/cm^2 energy output.
The gold dish part can be one or two pieces depending on year, but they all function the same and have the same performance. The early systems had a thinner internal wire that failed early(sold in 2007-2008). This is the newer style with the thicker wire. See 3

picture. The letter “A” indicates the newer heater wire design.
Do not tighten or loosen the nuts or bolts related to the ceramic parts. They are torqued to a very specific value to work with ceramic.
Typical heater resistance is around 100ohms. If you are measuring around that value on your current system, the heater is working.
