    Description

    Mexican (?) Terra Cota (?) Black Mask
    Offered is a tribal type mask that I believe may be from Mexico.
    I have done a little research on this piece and found no exact matches.  There is a whole lot I don’t know about the mask.  Age, area of manufacturing, culture, firing and material.  It is being sold as décor.  There is someone out there that will be able to recognize it immediately.  It is approximately 9 by 5 ¾ Inches.  When placed on a wall it sits proud by approximately 3 ½ inches.  Its eyes are open as its mouth.  There are no chips or observable cracks.  Some of the surface finish has been rubbed. He has a ton of character.
